STFC Earns 3 Medals and Master's Title at Nationals

On November 29th, STFC competed in the Canadian national cross-country championships in Guelph. STFC athletes battled the snowy and wet conditions resulting in 3 STFC individual medals and the master's title; Shellie Price won gold in the woman's 30-34 age group, Bevin Stephenson won the silver in the men's 30-34 age group and Jeff Barrett won gold in the mens 35-39 age group.The Masters team consisting of Stevenson, Weppler, Barrett and Bauman won the master's title for the 4th consecuive year. Other individual top ten athletes were Jason Weppler, Joe Chappel, Marvin Bauman and Ken Gosleigh. The junior women and mens team earned 9th place and 14th place respectively. A special congratulations goes to Mike Thorson who will be competing in the World Cross Country Championships after placing 6th in the senior race.
